David Petteys

David has practiced law in Washington since 2002. Before founding Stoll Petteys PLLC, David practiced tax and business law with the law firms of Perkins Coie and Lane Powell in Seattle, Washington, and also served as state and local tax counsel at Amazon.com. David has a vast amount of experience in providing advice and representation to taxpayers in connection with all aspects of state and local tax law, including tax planning, counseling, and the resolution of complex tax controversies. David also has a substantial amount of knowledge and experience in other areas of law, including general litigation, business and corporate law, and real estate transactions and litigation. Prior to attending law school, David spent a decade serving as a revenue agent with the Washington State Department of Revenue. He also devotes a significant amount of time to legal scholarship by serving as an adjunct professor at the Seattle University School of Law and the Graduate Tax Program at Golden Gate University.
