Eric has practiced law in Washington for over 15 years. He has considerable experience in business and tax planning, including not-for-profit, commercial contracts, start-up and emerging companies, mergers and acquisitions, real estate purchase and sale and leasing; estate planning and probate matters; business succession; and trusts and estates litigation.

Eric’s practice also includes sports and entertainment transactions, representing athletes, flimmakers, and other creators in copyright and trademark, advertising, distribution, television and motion picture contracts, film production, post-production, and digital content.

Before founding Stoll Petteys PLLC, Eric was a tax and business attorney with the law firms of Perkins Coie and Dorsey & Whitney. Prior to law school, Eric was a counselor working with children and families for various not-for-profit organizations. He still dedicates a lot of time to community service, including service on the Board of Directors for the Ballard Food Bank and the Ballard Alliance (formerly the Ballard Chamber of Commerce).

Eric also serves as a mediator for shareholder and partner disputes and trusts and estates litigation matters.
